Pay-per-use agent tools
Give your agent tools from 3337 providers with no subscriptions, monthly minimums, or expiring credits. Pay only for the tool calls it makes.
Why pay-per-use beats subscriptions
Most API providers force you into monthly subscriptions, prepaid credit packages, or minimum commit tiers. This model fails for AI agents. Agent workloads are bursty and unpredictable — an agent might make 10,000 API calls one day and zero the next. With subscriptions, you either overpay during quiet periods or hit limits during spikes. Pay-per-use pricing aligns costs perfectly with actual usage. You fund your Locus wallet with USDC, your agent calls whatever APIs it needs, and each call is billed at the moment of use. No wasted credits, no surprise invoices, no account management overhead.
How it works
1. Fund your wallet
Deposit USDC to your Locus smart wallet on Base. Any amount works — there's no minimum deposit. How many calls it covers depends on the tools and request usage you choose.
2. Call any API
Use your Locus API key to call any of 3337 wrapped provider groups. OpenAI, Anthropic, OpenRouter, ElevenLabs, DeepSeek, Groq, Tavily, CoinGecko, and more are available through one authenticated catalog.
3. Pay per call
Each API call deducts its exact cost from your wallet. Some tools have a fixed per-call price; token, page, character, and generation-based tools are metered from actual usage. The catalog publishes the current price or pricing basis before you call.
No separate accounts needed
One of the biggest advantages of Locus's pay-per-use model is eliminating account sprawl. Without Locus, using five different API providers means five signups, five billing setups, five API keys to manage, and five invoices to reconcile. With Locus, you have one wallet, one API key, and one unified billing view. Your agent can call OpenAI for reasoning, Tavily for search, Stability AI for images, and Judge0 for code execution — all billed to the same wallet with a single audit trail.

Who benefits from pay-per-use
- •AI agent developers — Test and iterate without committing to monthly plans across multiple providers
- •Startups — Keep costs variable as you scale. No need to forecast API usage months in advance.
- •Hobbyists & researchers — Experiment with expensive APIs for pennies without subscription commitment
